The Teen Zone is a 2,387 square foot transformation of the second floor reference area at the main branch of the Oakland Public Library into a flexible, cutting edge study and learning space for teen patrons. The "Teen Zone" includes two crescent-shaped computer labs, private group study spaces with translucent walls, a video area for programming and instruction, music listening loop bars, comfortable and interactive lounge areas, improved access to library resources and a vibrant welcoming atmosphere.
